Environmental Conservation in Fiji

I was a DP for a video created by CNN for the Government of Japan.
Pacific island nations such as Fiji are directly affected by climate change in the form of coastal erosion and sea level inundation. Japan is tackling issues on climate change adaptation with the international community. Also, a Japanese NGO, OISCA is helping Fijian people by providing guidance on mangrove reforestation: when fully grown, the mangroves can help to prevent erosion that damages not only the shoreline but also offshore coral reefs. By working together, Japan is empowering people to build a more sustainable future on a community basis, in the world.

I’m really proud to be a part of such a great project.

This and other videos you can find in the official Side by Side website: https://www.japan.go.jp/sidebyside/

and of course on official Prime Minister’s Office of Japan YouTube channel.
